Get to Know Chef Rob Lampman
Meet Chef Rob Lampman, co-owner and creative force behind Grassroots and Two Forks.
Raised on a farm just outside Southwold, Rob’s love for food and agriculture started at home. Working alongside his mom and dad, he experienced the beef process from farm to table — and from there, his passion only grew.
After studying at Fanshawe College and training in Jesi, Italy, Rob earned his Red Seal certification and quickly worked his way up to Executive Chef before opening two restaurants of his own.
His food philosophy? Keep it local, keep it thoughtful, and let the ingredients shine. Today, every menu he creates celebrates Ontario’s farmers and producers, from dry-aged steaks to the first tomatoes of summer.
When he’s not in the kitchen, you’ll probably catch him with a cigar and an old fashioned, reflecting on the farm-to-table journey that brought him here.
