The Elgin County Studio Tour returns on September 27 & 28, 2025, offering a free, self-guided journey through the vibrant art scene of Elgin County. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, visitors can explore artists' studios across communities such as Port Stanley, Union, Aylmer, and St. Thomas, where they can meet the creators in their workspaces. This annual event provides an opportunity to view and purchase original artwork, observe live demonstrations, and engage in discussions about the creative process.
The tour aims to showcase local talent and foster a deeper appreciation for the cultural and economic impact of the arts in Elgin County. With 23 artists participating across 21 studios, attendees can experience a diverse range of artistic expressions.

The Star Party at Dalewood Conservation Area is scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2025, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The Kettle Creek Conservation Authority hosts this event in collaboration with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – London Centre.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the night sky through telescopes provided by knowledgeable volunteers from the RASC London Centre. It's a family-friendly event designed to ignite curiosity about astronomy and the cosmos.

Hidden Gem Alert: Rubyeyes Kratworks
📍 Aylmer Ontario
RubyEyes Kraftwerks is an art studio located in Aylmer, Ontario, operated by Cheryl Garrett-Jenkins. With over 35 years of experience, Cheryl is a marine engineer by trade who developed a passion for glass and various art forms through fabricating and welding metal frames for other artists. Her journey into art began in childhood, encouraged by her mother and an inspiring grade school art teacher. She is primarily self-taught, with some formal training, and emphasizes experimentation in her creative process. Her artworks are inspired by patterns observed in life and imagination, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
The studio specializes in glass and alcohol ink artworks, offering items for sale, showcasing past artworks and commissions, and providing classes, as well as participating in shows. Cheryl supports local animal rescues, charities, and the Legion Poppy Fund. Her work has been recognized with several awards, particularly those chosen by fellow artists. Founded by Lisa Jibson, a Certified Estate Advisor with a Master’s in Public Administration, the company offers a range of services, including estate planning, will drafting, legacy planning, and acting as a Professional Estate Trustee (Executor) for those without a designated executor.
